What is a standalone engine management system (unit)?
Im buying one for my car because i need Wiring Harness for my swapped engine, but it came with a cut one, what is a standalone?
its made by an aftermarket manufacturer to do exactly what you are trying to do: wire an engine from a swap or one that the main harness isnt feasible to buy. usually comes with a processor and all the goodies youll need to wire your particular engine.
go carbureted. you wont need one.
