Serial Number OG225174R2.
Where can I find the model and year of the above engine.
There should be a small metal plate on the outside of the engine just below the Power Head. It should list the serial number and the model number. When you copy the model number from this plate, look it up in the chart found at this link.

Note that the second and third last character from the end of the Model number will translate into the year on these charts.
If you can't find the model number, try calling your nearest Evinrude or Johnson Dealer. They have charts to identify the year based on your serial number.
