how do i install the lower unit on my evinrude 25hp outboard?
i pulled the Lower Unit Off, but can't get it to seat all the way. It is a late 90's 25 hp Long Shaft Electric Start tiller.
this is a very difficult process if you have not done it before you are trying to line up three things in doing this the water pickup, the Drive Shaft, and shift shaft if you do not line up the water pickup correctly it is a very expensive mistake because the engine will not get the water that it needs to cool and will go down you should take it to a certified marine mechanic for re-installation or if you are determined to do it yourself email me serial # and model # and i will check hand book and email you specific instructions and the exact year would help
