I have a small mixed terrier who was fixed but still mounts the cat.?
My dog was fixed months ago but about a few weeks ago I noticed he was trying to mount the cat, which he never did before. He seems to get a little aggressive as well when trying to do it. I thought they were not supposed to go into heat or do this after being fixed. Please help if you have any information. Thanks!
My vet says this is perfectly normal in a "fixed" dog. They are "dominating" the item of their affection. In my dog's case, it's a stuffed fuzzy bone, he has had since he was still with his litter mates. He is nearly 2 years old, and he is still dominating. It's pretty funny, until company arrives, and is horrified by our cute puppy's behavior!
